Tidal Cyber’s mission is to put the power of Threat-Informed Defense into the hands of end-users. We seek to empower our users to understand and evaluate options by providing them with critical information regarding the threats to their organization and defensive capabilities they can bring to bear to defend against them. Ultimately, we enable them to make their own educated decisions on how to best defend their organization against the threats that matter most to them.

Trust and collaboration are paramount to our success, and as such, Tidal fosters diversity in thinking and encourages open and respective dialog. As a team, we will continually learn from one another, and make progress towards our mission of delivering Threat-Informed Defense at scale.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Solutions Engineering Manager with expertise in cybersecurity and a deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK use cases to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Solutions Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales efforts by managing proof of concept (POC) activities, helping to bypass POCs in the sales process, providing technical guidance, demonstrating our solutions, and addressing prospect needs related to Threat-Informed Defense. Your knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework will be crucial in helping potential clients more effectively leverage their security stacks and mitigate cyber threats effectively. The role reports to our Chief Operating Officer and works closely with our Customer Experience team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge and prioritization of use cases around Tidal Cyber Enterprise Edition, focusing on demonstrating how it can allow large organizations to check their existing security coverage against a variety of threat profiles and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Work with AEs and sales leadership to move deals forward into POC and be part of the team that leads the prospects through the POC process.
  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the specific needs of prospective and current clients.
  • Create custom technical follow ups to help move potential deals forward quickly.
  • Address and resolve technical queries and objections during the sales process.
  • Develop and deliver compelling value propositions, emphasizing how our solutions can address specific threats and use cases as customized in what is gleaned in discovery with a client – working in partnership with the Adversary Intelligence Team.
  • Assist in drafting technical proposals, and other pre-sales documentation, including vendor assessment documents.
  • Train internal sales teams and channel partners on the technical elements of the product working in a sale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity are a plus. More important than all of the above, a hunger and tenacity to grow an already fast-growing startup. Work experience is more critical than education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role within the cybersecurity domain, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity products, solutions, and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, including its use cases and application in threat detection and response.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, BAS, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing prospect  needs.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written communications skills.
  • Willing to work “startup time” to get the job done
